Now this is interesting. You can always see people talk about Jazz in several Software Management, Complex and Creative Process books. An entire book just for what Jazz brings to the process?.
Group dynamics and collaboration are probably the most important these days - always been in various other fields - esp in Music. It's just the software world with individual ego and varying efforts & rewards and Management that need to deliver, commercial concerns, contracts and competitions - that's finding it so difficult to reconcile. Software can get too complex - is what happens when you mix people and machines - with people acting like machines and vice versa - over the period ;)
